Marcello Massaro,
Reg. Clinical Psychol., Ps.S.I. and Psychotherapist

Marcello holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical and Community Psychology from Urbino University, Italy. He has a M.A. in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy from Independent College, Dublin. He has been seeing clients in Dublin as a Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist for the last four years. Marcello has also trained and worked as a volunteer for a number of Irish mental health charities, working in the areas of suicide prevention, bereavement counselling, depression and eating disorders.

Marcello’s development as a therapist has been deeply influenced by the study of psychology, philosophy and the latest neurological research. In his work he combines a variety of therapeutic approaches (Schema Therapy, Psycho-dynamic, Humanistic/Positive Psychology, Gestalt, Attachment Theory) depending on the client’s needs and at what stage of the therapeutic process they are at. To broaden his vision and develop his skills as a therapist he has studied the complimentary disciplines of NLP, Life Coaching and Mindfulness.

Marcello is a registered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). It is important to him to work within the ethical framework they provide.
